How we spend our days....

So for those of you who don't know Colby has had a pretty rough go here in the beginning. We are working with the doctors to try and pinpoint exactly what is the problem, but so far they think he is bit colic along with some acid reflux. Poor little guy. So because of this he doesn't really like to be on his back at all, and often times he will scream out in what seems to be a cry of pain. I have come up with a way to lay him on the boppy for his afternoon naps so that I can actually get some stuff done, but for the most part he is usually asleep on either mine or Cameron's chest. So we are praying every day and night that with the help of the doctors we will come to a conclusion, where he will be happy and be able to sleep (as well as mommy). I have started to eliminate all dairy products from my diet for the time being and we will see if that makes any difference. But for now we just do anything that will make this little guy more comfortable. So here are some pictures of how we spend most of our days.

Oh man, that's tough. I hope things get a little easier for you. If you need dairy-free recipes I know someone who probably has some good ones.

Ahh. Sad. I hope he feels better soon, for both your sakes.

I have to ask...

Has he been to a chiropractor? Brigham had colic pretty bad and he fell asleep on the adjusting table during his first adjustment! I was shocked. But his colic pretty much went away after being adjusted regularly.

Brad has attended some pediatric seminars and seen and heard amazing things about babies and chiropractic.

It's worth a try right? My kids get adjusted all the time (it helps that Daddy is a chiropractor though).

Good luck! :)

Okay...so maybe this helps...sounds similar to Jace when he was that young...we ended up switching him to Soy formula and he was a new baby it seemed within a couple weeks. Looking back, I am not sure if he needed only soy or if he just wasn't getting enough from mommy. I too did the dairy free...hard though since it is in more than you think. It didn't make much difference...anyway regardless, I also hope it gets better soon. It is hard when you know something is wrong but the sweet little guy can only scream!

Poor little guy! I hope the Doctors can get it all figured out soon. I hope everything else is going well though! Hang in there.

So, all three of my kids were screamers for over 6 months. My mantra was "this too shall pass", and it does. I also eliminated dairy and soy with the last one and it did help to an extent. They all also loved white noise like the vacuum cleaner so my floors were always clean. Hang in there!!
