One of the days we drove to Seaside Beach in Oregon. Growing up in California I am used to going to the beach and it being cold, but this was VERY cold...especially for July. However, it was still a lot of fun, and as we moved up the coast to do some more sightseeing, we ended up having beautiful weather.
Cameron carried Colby in the backpack to help keep him warm.

Nonnie and Poppie with Colby

Even though it was cold, Colby loved walking/crawling around and playing in the sand. Although he didn't enjoy the face plant into the sand!

The whole group that went to the beach (Sanders, Todd's, Theobald's, and Veres Family)

We also went to Fort Stevens-which is one of the places Dan grew up. It was a lot of fun to hear his stories from when he was little. One of them was of the old prison there. It was boarded up, however, he and his brothers/friends found a wood panel that they were able to open up and then go and play as if it were a fort. Now they have opened it up to visitors to walk through.

Here we are in one of the bunkers

Even though it was chilly, it still was a great day and so fun to hear some fun stories/memories. We wish Colby was a little older to run around and play, but he liked being on Cameron's shoulders and seeing everything!
