1 Year and still going strong

So we have recently celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary. I can't believe it. It went by so fast! Well Cameron was amazing as usual. He decided to surprise me on the Saturday before our actual Anniversary by packing a bag and taking me on my first metro ride to the city for a wonderful dinner and then to the Mandarin Hotel in DC. WOW!!! It was amazing, they have these hotels all over the world and if you ever get the chance to stay in one, I would do it! It was great! It was a wonderful weekend of relaxing and spending time with each other!

Our room was great! It had a great view of the Washington Monument and the hotel even had chocolate covered strawberries in our room for us! My favorite! The bathroom was Cameron's favorite! It was huge! Needless to say we had a great weekend. We were able to get away (even though it wasn't far) and look back on the wonderful year we had together and all the blessings that our family has had!

Then on that Monday, July 14, 2008 was the official day. Since we had a wonderful weekend we didn't too much in the way of celebration. I did however cook one Cameron's favorite meals. And what 1 year anniversary would be complete without eating a piece of our wedding cake. My mom sent it to me and both Cameron and I were a little skeptical about it but we decided that tradition was tradition and who were we to break it! Notice Cameron's eyes right before we took a bite, I think he was nervous it was going to kill him or something! ha ha ha

We have been very blessed and look forward to the next year together and the many years to come!
