Maryland Renaissance Festival

So Cameron and I had been seeing ad's for this Renaissance Festival out here in Maryland. So we decided to ask some of our friends and see if they wanted to go with us. All I can say is WOW! It was a very fun day for us and an introduction to a whole new culture that I never knew existed.

We brought along our friends Jen Davis (LOVE HER) and our friend Derek, and we had no idea what we were about to prepare ourselves for. Inside the gates to the festival it was like a whole new world. Every food item known to man was on a stick. Everything from turkey legs to macaroni n cheese to cheesecake. You wouldn't believe what they can put on a stick these days. And apparently we did not get the memo of dressing up in real authentic Renaissance attire. However, Cameron and I were able to take a look at what we might look like if we were royalty!
Someday maybe I will get Cameron do dress up in the full attire including the white tights...ha ha! That would be funny! Anyway we enjoyed our day there and got to watch a lot of live plays, and even got to watch a jousting tournament.

All in all we had a wonderful day and it was an experience we all will never forget! I think even next year we may end up going...and maybe next year I will convince Cameron to dress for the occasion! Stay tuned to find out!
