Colby K Sanders

Hello everyone, well as most of you know by now, our little guy finally arrived! September 17, 2009 at 2:06pm and he is was 8lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. I went to the hospital the morning of the 17th and got all checked in, to what began the most amazing day of both mine and Cameron's life. I got all hooked up and the process began. As I continued to progress the work began. I started pushing and as I did that they noticed that his heart rate began to drop. After continuing to push they didn't see any improvement and needed to get the baby out. Once he finally started to come out we found that the cord was wrapped around his neck and the cause of the drop in heart rate. But they were able to take care of that and soon I heard the first cry of our little guy! From there it all seemed to become very surreal, but amazing all at the same time! It was so amazing to have my amazing husband by my side through the whole experience and to have his strength and encouragement as well. I was also blessed to have my mother right by my side as well helping me and coaching me. I also had my cheering section, Cameron's parents and sister Tabatha! With all the help and encouragement from everyone- they helped make this process go much smoother and much better!
Obviously I gave you the cliff's notes version of this whole experience because lets face it the whole reason for this post was for the pictures- which is what everyone really wants to see! So on our last day in the hospital we decided on his name- Colby K Sanders and then headed home to begin the adventure of parenthood. Below are a few pictures of our little man and our experience.










Now are are home and doing well, trying to recover and adjusting to life as parents and for Colby adjusting to life on the outside! Thanks for all your love and support!
