Our Trip to Florida

Last week just as the weather was getting colder and colder, Colby and I headed down to Florida to enjoy some sunshine. We found some cheap tickets with an airline called Spirit Air. $9 each way (plus the cost of luggage) you can't beat that! We visited our friends the Epperson's that used to be in our ward up here in Virginia. I have to admit it was a little strange to be going to the beach and the pool in December, but at the same time, it was so great! So again it was a lot of first for Colby. He had his very first plane ride, and he did great! It's about a 2 1/2 hour flight and he slept the whole way down there, only waking up right as we were landing. I didn't have my camera handy so I had to use my phone, so the picture isn't great but here is Colby and I in the plane.

It was so nice we took the kids for a walk- in the first picture is Colby and Izzie and the second picture is Colby and Isaac who both fell asleep on the walk.

We had lots of fun at the beach!

We also had fun at the pool. We borrowed a pair of Izzie's sunglasses because we didn't have any for him and it was really bright.

We took a couple videos of him going in the pool, but this is the one where he wasn't crying- the pool was a little cold and you can see in his face he can tell it's no like his normal bath water, but he actually ended up loving the water and fell asleep when Maria was holding him in the pool!

It was a short trip but a great visit. Thanks Maria and the kids for such a great time showing us Florida! We can't wait to come back again soon and hopefully our husbands will be able to join us!
