Aunt Debbie's Cabin- Day 1

For a week we were able to go up to Island Park Idaho for a little R&R. However, rest and relaxation were a little few and far between moments of mine...I think one of those "R" should be running...after Colby that is. But we did have a fun time there! The first day we laid out in the hammocks....

Colby always crosses his feet whenever he is sitting or laying so it was so cute as he laid with me to watch him cross his legs in true hammock relaxing style. However, these moments of laying in the hammock were very brief because really Colby only wanted to walk around and play in the dirt and grass with his stick!
Colby had the most fun I think just being outside, which is why our next adventure I was sure he would love...and he did. Aunt Debbie has 2 ATV's and so we loaded up and took a little trip on the ATV's. Colby was great the whole time. We even went over some bumpy terrain and some jumps and he did great!
Here is Aunt Debbie-even though she didn't want us to take this picture. Don't let her fool you...she litterally had me eating her dust quite a few times. I think she's ready for the X-Games.
We all rode on this ATV and followed Aunt Debbie, however Colby was sandwiched in between Nana and I...I did try and exercise some safety precautions.
Here is Colby after our ride...notice the dirt that had collected on my face from eating Aunt Debbie's dust.
After this ride Aunt Debbie and I dropped Colby and Nana off and went for a REAL ride to some of the courses and trails out there! They were so fun!
Day 1 was a success, we had lots of fun and did do a little relaxing but had a lot of fun riding.

I'm glad you've recovered enough to post on your blog already. You amaze me. The cabin is so empty without Little Man. All the life has gone out of the place. I miss you all so much. Mark & Jen loved all the photos I sent, all 21 of them. I haven't decided whether to forgive you for the photos of me that you posted. The Aunt Debbie reference was a very smart move on your part. How can Aunt Debbie be mad?

i love that colby is a stick and dirt kid. they are so rare these days with video games and cell phones and tv and such. i wish gunny was old enough to go play with him. he gets mezmerized by the leaves swaying in the wind by the pool so i imagine he would enjoy some stick-dirt-grass time a lot. we miss you. colby is sooooo cute.
