Books

About a month ago I had the hardest time getting Colby to sit on my lap and read through a book...sometimes even a page! Recently Colby has begun to LOVE books and especially have them read to him. He mostly likes to help me turn the pages and sometimes won't even let me finish reading the page because he wants to see what is on the next page. His favorite books recently are "Brown Bear Brown Bear What do You See?" and "The Wheels on the Bus".
He even likes to sit and read to himself.
This is what his book "The Wheels on the Bus" usually looks like:
However, Colby thinks he can get the information from the book just by putting it on his head, he is so silly!
He is so cute! My parents have a bookshelf full of books and he loves to go pick a book, bring it to me, have me read it, then go back and get a new one. I hope this love of books continues as he gets older!

Unsubtle plug: You should take him to storytime at the library! I don't have any idea what kind of programs they have for kids his age where you are, but in Baltimore we have one for babies, and it's the cutest thing in the world.
