A Day at the Houston Zoo

We have been practicing animal noises with Colby (video to come soon), so it was so fun to be able to go to the Zoo and point out some of the animals to him. So we strapped the boys in and headed down the road.
(Nonnie and Poppie were in the car with all the boys and the rest of us drove in another car...I'm sure it was a crazy ride!!)
Our first stop was to the Carousel, but I am not sure if Colby enjoyed it or was just kind of confused. However, his cousins, Carson and Connor loved every minute of the ride!
At the Houston Zoo they have a little area just for smaller children. One of the things they have there is the petting zoo. At first Colby was a little unsure and scared, but soon he wanted to get into some of the action.
Here's Colby teaching Poppie about all the different fish
After seeing all the different fish we decided to break up the day with going on a little train ride. It was so fun, it took us all around the area by the Zoo. One of the places was the park where Cameron and I took our engagement pictures, so that was fun! Each of the boys had so much fun riding.
High Five
Hugging Uncle Clay
I love taking pictures of Connor...he is so cute
And then there's my silly kiddo
Needless to say I think the train ride was a hit! So we headed back into the Zoo to find some more animals. We came up to where the Elephants lived and they were washing the little baby Elephant...it was so cute!
Here is Colby and I next to where the Leopard lives...Colby didn't look at the camera because he couldn't stop staring at the large cat.
Here's Colby making his cat sound..."EEOWW"
Colby did great all day....all I can say is thank goodness for strollers, sippy cups, and snacks!
We had such a great time at the Houston Zoo. Thanks everyone for such a great day!
