The Alamo

What visit down to San Antonio would be complete without visiting the Alamo and the riverwalk. We went right after it opened on a Thursday and there was no one there. My sister in law said that was so strange because every other time they had come to visit there had been a line out the door to get in. It was so nice to just walk around and be able to see everything without crowds of people. What is even more strange about the Alamo is that it is right in the middle of downtown San Antonio. I couldn't believe it, I thought it was out in the middle of the desert or something. I was wrong, it was right across the street from Ripley's Believe it or Not...believe it or not. We couldn't take pictures inside the Alamo, but it was very cool to see the building and how amazing the structure really is.
They had a really cool video that we watched that talked all about the battle at the Alamo. I was surprised to learn a few new things about this battle. It truly is a beautiful place and if you are ever in the San Antonio area I would highly recommend visiting this great site.
After you get done at the Alamo you can go across the street to the river walk. It's a fun area below the city, full of shops and all kinds of restaurants. However, this is not a stroller friendly place as Tabatha and I learned. However, it's full of life and is another fun area!
Thanks Tabatha for taking us into the city to see these great sites! We had so much fun!
