Trip to Denver-Part One

Cameron had a work trip to Denver so Colby and I decided to tag along and also meet up some more family. Aunt Robin, Uncle Dave, and their four amazing kids- Terryn, Ty, Tris, Tavin. Colby was in HEAVEN with the three boys!
One of our first stop was back at Cameron's old stomping ground. It was a cold day up on the Air Force Academy campus, but it was a lot of fun to hear some interesting stories from Cameron. We also met up with one of his old roommates, Andy Radzicki, who is now an instructor. Going to a more "traditional" University, it was strange to see the campus, and although there isn't a whole lot to it, it has it's beautiful spots. One of which is the Chapel. It is different looking than most chapels but stands outs because of the difference in architecture.

Inside there a few pictures they let you take photos, and I know my photography stinks and will never do it justice, but the inside is gorgeous. The beautiful colors from the stained glass windows just can't even be described!
From outside the Chapel is a platform where you can pretty much see the whole Campus. I can't think of too many college campus' that have a huge plane in their quad...
One really cool thing about the Academy is the tradition. As we walked around Cameron and Andy would talk about all the different things that they did as cadets here but how they are still done today. One cool part of the campus is the Class Wall. Each year has a different crest that represents their year.
One of the many sayings that they had to memorize during their academic years. "We will not lie, steal, or cheat, nor tolerate among us anyone who does."

We also spent a small fortune at the Visitors Center gift shop, but took some fun pictures of Colby.
It was fun to visit the campus and see and hear all the fun stories from Cameron's college experience. Here are some of the final view of the whole campus and you drive out.
Who knows maybe we will be back to this campus in 2028 to drop of another Cadet Sanders.
