Zoo and Air show

So Cam and I have met some friends that we have been hanging out with lately. They are in the ward that meets after us, but they are so much fun. We all decided to go to the National Zoo in DC. It is free and it was fun! We saw tons of animals and they were all very active. Cameron went a little camera crazy so I am only showing a few pictures.

And no that isn't Cameron to the right pouting!Ha

It was such a fun day, we saw the Panda bear which was very active and also would scratch his butt on trees for everyone! It was a sight. We also saw lions and tigers...but sorry no bears. Plus it was such a beautiful day. We heard that this is the time to go to the Zoo before it gets really hot then all the animals won't come out. We felt really lucky because it wasn't busy and all the animals were out and very active and ready to show off! And on top of it all...it was FREE!!! Can't beat that right?!

Our latest outing was to Andrew's Air Force Base for a joint service air show. It was so much fun. However I don't think that we were quite prepared for how hot it was going to be, and since we both work in offices all day long, well you can imagine how the sun affected our skin. We both got pretty fried, we by the middle of the day bought a hat for me because my face was burning so fast. It was fun for Cameron to be back on a base and I think he even missing being there. It was fun to have him there telling everyone what each plan was and what they did. I was so proud! Ha ha! But we had a blast and we both got to see the Blue Angels perform for the first time which was fun!

Here is Cam and I in front of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. This is actually not even operational yet, so Cameron and the guys were suprised it was there. Below is a picture of U-2 in the background. It is a surveillance aircraft high up in the air...and yes I am pretty sure that is the technical term for it.

Now here are the after pictures... I didn't take any of my body, but you can see how bad Cameron's got, so you can imagine how bad mine was!

Needless to say we bought a big thing of Aloe and we have been using it a lot! Now we are both in the peeling process. It's fun! And to end this one here are a few pics of the actual air show! Here are the Blue Angels, sometimes I wonder if they are going to hit each other.....

In this picture to the left it almost looks like they were going to hit each other...it was crazy. There are tons of other pictures and tons of other plans and jets, but I thought I would just show a few. If any of you ever get a chance to go to an air show...go...just remember to WEAR SUNSCREEN!!!

Hey girl... Woo Hoo.. another "blog" contact! How's the East coast? Oh yeah... and trust me.. I know all about the pain that goes from switching license plates and drivers license. I nearly cried when they made me hand over my CA drivers license to get the stupid-ugly-cheap looking Oregon ones. (I'm not bitter.. much).

Love ya,

Hello dearest cousin. I just ran across your blog when I was on Meredith's. It's quite excellent. I'm definitely gonna link you up, cause that's what cousins are for.
