WE VOTED!!!
November 4, 2008 was a historical day for the United States of America. But even more historical because it was my first time voting. 4 years ago I was going into the MTC to serve a mission for 18 months and the last thing on my mind was voting. So it was fun and I felt very patriotic! Even though Cameron and I had to wake up at 5:30 am to leave and go get in line. The polls in Virginia opened at 6 am and we heard the lines would be crazy. So we decided to go early so we could still make it to work. It took us about an hour or so to get through the line and finally cast our vote for the next President of the United States. Who did we vote for??? Shhh...sorry it's a secret! But we had a fun time in line, Cameron mostly cracking jokes, which made it bearable to be awake at that time and be standing in line! I also brought my book just in case! But needless to say all day we wore our "I voted" stickers with pride!
