Colby loves Papa

Ever since Colby was born and was introduced to my dad I think they must have this unspoken bond with each other. He always seemed to be so good when he was with my dad. This became even more apparent during this last trip back home. While we were in Indiana Colby went on walks with Papa and even fell asleep when papa pushed him through the neighborhood. Then on our way from Indiana to California Colby was having a rough time during one of the legs of the flight. My dad offered to go and walk up and down the aisle of the plane. After a little while of doing that Colby fell asleep in his arms, and from there we called him the baby whisperer. Even when we were in California the bonding didn't stop. My dad would be packing for a trip and Colby would just watch him, he would take him for more walks, took him for rides on our stair chair, and even put him up on his shoulders as he used to do with me when I was little. He even let him play in the other love of his life...his Porsche!

I am so lucky to have my dad in my life and for my son to be able to get to know who his Papa is and what an amazing Man, Father, and Grandfather he is! Thanks Dad for all the love you gave and showed me and for your constant example! You are an amazing Father and I can't thank you enough for your help and the fun we had with you, we love you and miss you tons!
