Trip to Cali

As said in an old post I recently went back to Cali for my grandmothers funeral. Even though the reason I was home was for something sad, it was also a celebration in my grandmothers honor. A celebration of the family she helped create. During that week I was able to reconnect with many of my cousins who I haven't seen many many years, spend time with many of my siblings, and see my amazing niece and nephews. It was also great to see Colby interact with my family. He especially this trip loved his Aunt Misty. She was amazing! And he loved spending time with her. One of the things they did was swing...
They enjoyed watching Zach and Mason playing in the yard together! And even during one of their swinging times Misty put him to sleep!!! And he was out!
Misty got so relaxed that she fell asleep too....just kidding! (Sorry Misty I know you didn't like these pictures but I couldn't resist!)
We also had fun watching Zach at his baseball game! He did a great job! For my birthday I asked him to get a good hit for me...and he not only got a great hit but caught a fly ball!!! He's a stud!

Colby was also able to spend a lot of time with his cousin Arie. When we went to Cali he was only sitting up- but Arie was already crawling and pulling herself up! So she was a little more stable and balanced...Colby was still learning his so in some of the pictures it looks like Colby is trying to tackle Arie! But it's all out of love!

As I said before, although the circumstances weren't ideal- It sure was fun to celebrate the life a wonderful lady and to celebrate the legacy of family and traditions she created!
