3 Years and Counting...

3 years ago today, my whole world changed and in the best way I could ever have imagined. I was fortunate to find my eternal companion! It has been, at times, a crazy 3 years. However, through it all we have managed to still be just as much in love as we were 3 years ago today. (I know it's sappy, but...it's true!) This year, like every year since, Cameron surprised me! He told me last night that he was going to have to work late tonight and that usually means he won't get home till 10 at night. And then this morning when he came in to wake me up to say goodbye, I said "Happy Anniversary" and he let out a sigh...like as if he had forgotten. But it was 5:30 so I didn't really think too much and went right back to sleep! However, when I woke up I was a little sad, that today I would be spending our Anniversary alone. But, in true Cameron fashion, he surprised me by walking through the door at 11:30am with a dozen roses (fire and ice my favorite), a great card, and oreo's. I was cleaning and so I was not looking my best, but he told me to quickly go get ready because we had plans soon. My amazingly sweet husband arranged a babysitter, got movie tickets, and dinner reservations for us!

Our dinner reservations were for a place called the Russian House. It's a nice restaurant here in Herndon. I got the Fillet Mignon, but they prepare it table side. It was great!
We had a wonderful evening just the two of us. But we did enjoy picking Colby up from the the babysitter (thanks again Maria) and seeing the huge smile on his face to see us! We came home and had oreo's and milk and watched a movie. It was a great day and I love Cameron for so many reasons that I don't even know where to begin. The best decision I ever made in this life was 3 years ago today, and I am reminded daily of how lucky I am to have him in my life and for the amazing husband and father he is! I love you babe...here's to 3 years and for many more amazing years to come! Cheers!
