1. The visitors stadium side is the size of my high schools HOME side. So just imagine how BIG
there home side is (some college stadiums aren't as big as they have here).
2. The field is artificial turf, which again is usually only found at that college level where I am
from.
3. Instead of just having cheerleaders and color guard girls, they also have Ranglerettes. As seen
in the picture below.
5. The football team and the band each have there own truck to pack all there stuff in, like the
ones that college football teams have that are all painted on the outside with the team name,
colors and logo. I am pretty sure that at my high school, if it didn't fit on the bus, it wasn't
going to the game!
6. Not just students, and parents of players come, whole communities come. So there is a pretty good showing at each of the games.
7. They also sell season tickets, and those are reserved seating...how crazy is that!?
HOMECOMING DIFFERENCES:
1. In Texas they only have 3 Homecoming Princess' and then they also have 3 Sweethearts
(these are picked and voted on by JUST the football team). And each of these girls must be
escorted by a football player. However, they just sit off to the side, there is not float, and no
big entrance to announce each of the girls.
2. In Texas they have these things called "Mum's". OH MY GOODNESS!!! Here is a picture of
what I am talking about.
However, at the end of the game the football team came and sang the school song accompanied by the band, I think to also thank the crowd. Which was what our high school team would do too!
(Sorry the picture is so dark)
I have to admit the whole time I sat there I wish I could have traveled back in time 10 years ago to watch Cameron play. Cameron was #20 in high school and so as the team entered the field it was #20 getting them pumped up and leading them out on the field. It would have been fun to watch as Cameron played, and maybe even received a mum from Cameron, even though I am sure he wouldn't have given me a second look in high school. But it was fun to hear some great stories of Cameron and the stud of a player he was. It was for sure a new experience that I could continue to write about but I won't. It was, however, an experience to be at a Texas football game, and they didn't disappoint, everything is BIGGER in Texas.

haha I love it! I've been trying to tell Kevin all about how different football is in Texas. I think I'm just going to have to take him to a game too! I'm jealous you got to go and cheer on my little brother! Glad you guys are having fun!
